International removals and storage company, Martell’s of Sutton, sees dramatic reductions in driving incidents and claims costs after installing connected vehicle cameras. Since the installation of the SureCam vehicle camera system in all its fleet vehicles, drivers have become more aware of their driving styles. The reported incidents of poor driving, along with the number of insurance claims, have significantly reduced.
“The ease of receiving, saving, and using captured videos makes driver training more straightforward,” said Edward Kessell of Martell’s of Sutton. He added that “The customer support provided by SureCam has been of an excellent level.”
The Surecam vehicle cameras combine vehicle tracking capabilities and high-definition video capture in one, easy-to-install device.
Ian Hoskins, UK Sales and Marketing Director of SureCam, said, “SureCam provides our clients with the tools they need to improve driver coaching, reduce insurance claims, and improve the safety of their fleets.”
Because SureCam devices are cloud-based, Martell’s of Sutton’s Transport Manager is instantly notified of any collisions or near miss road incidents within seconds and the footage can be downloaded remotely without the need to transfer files from an SD card. This has enabled Martell’s of Sutton to take control of the claims management process and see dramatic reductions in at-fault incidents and claims cost by dismissing liability when they aren’t at fault.
“I have been very happy with the SureCam system, and since its introduction the number of accidents/incidents/near misses has reduced,” Kessell said. “The tracking element means our office are able to update clients of possible delays and arrival times without the need to contact the driver.”
