SureCam have teamed up with Peoplesafe – the leading global supplier of employee safety technology – to develop a highly innovative video-enabled driver protection for fleet operations.

This industry-first solution supports and safeguards the driver both in and outside the vehicle, offering the highest level of safety and peace of mind to the people who drive for a living, and their employers. It takes lone worker safety to the next level, adding an extra layer of protection to what is currently available using a traditional vehicle tracking or video telematics solution.

Customers signed up to the joint service will have a dedicated ‘SureCam’ tile on their Peoplesafe smartphone app that integrates with their SureCam dash cam.

The integrated solution combines the benefits of a lone worker protection service with those of video telematics including:

Greater protection for remote and unsupervised employees
Increased driver welfare and support
Mitigate risk inside and outside the vehicle
Heightened peace of mind to both employers and employees
Added context and understanding when an alarm is raised
React to assaults, roadside incidents, accidents and medical issues
Speed up response from emergency services

With the SureCam and PeopleSafe integration the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Controller will know:

Who the worker is
Where they were when the incident happened
Who they work for

In addition, they will receive access to the footage of the incident from the front, read and inside of the vehicle, allowing them to gather vital information and have a more accurate assessment of the situation to initiate the best possible response.
