The standard GPS data available through SureCam dash cams provides various location, speed, and direction of travel data points allowing for a wide variety of alerts and reports to support the management of the fleet.
 
Our customers most commonly use the live GPS tracking functionality to locate their vehicles in real-time, verify the arrival and departure times of trips, and track speeding compliance without any intervention from drivers. 

GPS data is synced with high-quality video to provide the full context you need behind any incident investigation.
Many of our customers pair GPS data with our geofencing capabilities, track the arrival and departure times of their vehicles, as well as use GPS data to calculate time on site. We also see customers leveraging time-based alerts, often referred to as curfew alerts, to notify managers when vehicles are being used after designated work hours or on weekends.

Real-time GPS data is available for viewing within the SureCam online platform. GPS location data is updated every 10 seconds while the vehicle is powered on, giving you visibility into location of your vehicles at all times.
Our fleet dash cams — unlike a typical Garmin dash cam mini or other large market dash cams — are designed to minimize the amount of power drawn on your vehicle's battery. We utilize simple dash cam design with necessary features like night vision and high video quality that won't drain your resources.
Yes, you can structure your account and user types to best suit the needs of your business. You can allow designated user types to have full access to your SureCam data while establishing other user types to have limited access to only the information that they need for their role in your company.
Your SureCam GPS-enabled hardware is covered under warranty for as long as you have an rental subscription warranty. If you have issues with a dash camera that can't be quickly resolved remotely, we will ship you a replacement. Hassle-free.

Now if a camera was lost or destroyed in an accident, a modest replacement fee will apply. We are always happy to talk more about that.
SureCam's GPS tracking functionality is built directly into our dash cam devices. By installing a single SureCam dash cam device, you get access to both high-quality video and GPS tracking data.
 
When the vehicle is powered on, SureCam devices send GPS data to SureCam servers every 10 seconds, providing real-time visibility into the location of your vehicles. When the vehicle is powered off, SureCam devices send GPS data to SureCam servers every 6 hours. 

This allows us to re-verify the location of your vehicles after being powered off as well as perform ongoing device health status checks to ensure your dash cams are in good working order.
We like to keep things simple and straightforward at SureCam, so we wrap all of your hardware, software, and data costs, including GPS tracking data, into one affordable monthly subscription. You can view our standard dash camera pricing for small fleets here.
All of your video and underlying GPS data are still being recorded, even if your vehicle temporarily drives out of range of the cellular network. As soon as your vehicle drives back in range, your SureCam device will re-establish its connection, videos will be uploaded, and the GPS tracking data will be backfilled in our cloud-based platform.
We offer an unlimited number of user licenses with your subscription. We want you to be able to set up your account and work groups in a way that will best allow you to manage the safety and productivity of your field team, so we allow you to decide who should get access to the SureCam platform and how much access you want to give them.
