MYTH 1: MY TELEMATICS TECHNOLOGY ALREADY ADDRESSES SAFETY…
Telematics technology can be a great solution for addressing speeding, fuel consumption, route efficiency and harsh driving. Without video, fleets are missing the most important part of the story. Most claims can be definitively solved with video evidence. When your fleet is accused of causing an accident or property damage, video can quickly dismiss false claims or not-at-fault incidents. When your fleet is at fault, claims are settled quickly, with far less expense.
MYTH 2: OUR DRIVERS ARE BEING WATCHED…
SureCam’s technology only notifies fleets when a preset event occurs (harsh brake, near miss, collision, etc.) based on trigger settings to capture the events you care about. For fleets that are highly sensitive to driver reaction, our road-facing camera never records inside of the cab. Most incidents where the driver is not-at-fault can be proved with a road-facing camera, which confirms lane discipline, speed and right-of-way.
